I led the end-to-end design experience of Uber Hourly. As an individual contributor, I collaborated closely with the Product, Content, Regional Operations, and Engineering teams to design a platform for experimenting new mobility services beyond on-demand A to B ridesharing.
A Win-Win during a challenging time
In April 2020, global ridership dropped 80%, brought down by stay-at-home orders. Millions of people work remotely or lose jobs, so fewer people need to book a ride to and from the office.
For Drivers, Uber Hourly creates additional earning opportunities with more predictable earnings.
For Riders who need to make essential trips, riders can book a single driver for the entire journey with unlimited stops along the way.
